An Urban-Fantasy Series
Jason Neverin is unhappy with the history being presented to the world, especially involving his people, the elves. He's on a quest to find the truth about what happened five hundred years ago when the elves supposedly betrayed the other races of the world in what should have been the final battle against the armies of Danard.
With the help of the employees of the Understone garage, including his best friend and his two older brothers, the orc sister of a gang leader, and a gnome runaway, as well as a reporter with a dark past, and a celebrity photographer with an even darker secret, Jason becomes a symbol of the underworld of Talon City, earning the nickname the Drow.
Does Jason find the answers he seeks? What do his friends learn in the process?
On this site, I will update you on the books as I write them, as well as put out short stories to learn more about the characters and the world. I encourage discussions and questions. Feel free to message me about anything involving The Drow.
ABOUT ME
Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to write, and I knew I was going to write. Of all the changes my life has gone through, writing has been one of the few constants. So has science fiction and fantasy. While in high school I began wondering why fantasy books that often spanned thousands of years somehow never reached an age where technology matched what we would call modern. Where're the elves roaming the outskirts of a major metropolitan area? Where are the orcs confined to the inner city by societal norms? Where are the Amish-like hobbits shunning smartphones for good traditional magics?
I had a fever dream of writing the next books in the Lord of the Rings saga set a few ages of man after the events the trilogy. I eventually came to my senses and realized that I would never get the permission, nor would I be able to live up to the standards that a project of that nature would have. But it did inspire me to create my own world with a history as important to the story as other well-known worlds.
I have grown to not only love the world but also the characters that showed up in it. They themselves have history, romance, goals, hopes and dreams, obstacles, friends, enemies, nightmares, wishes, and everything you would hope to find in good characters.
So join me in my journey to learn more of the Jason Neverin, an elf unconvinced that his people betrayed the world 500 years in the past, and his friends as they traverse the underworld of Talon City, looking for answers to all their various questions about their pasts and their futures.

We are smart; we are hardworking. When we want to get something done, we get it done. We could push magical tech farther than anyone could even imagine in just a few years.
But no, we stay away and keep the world from moving forward. And for what? To keep our traditions? What have those actually done for us? It's useless. All from hundreds of years ago. We can change, and we should.
